One morning Snow woke up with something on her mind. She needed to talk to Calvin.
She rubbed her eyes and yawned the biggest yarn ever. That woke up Phoenix. Snow jumped up and shook Phoenix.
“Hurry up! Take me to see Calvin. We have to go hunting!”
Phoenix was not sure about that. She wanted to go back to sleep, but Snow did not allow that to happen.
So Snow packed a bag with some snacks because it was going to be a long trip. She also took her softest blanket and her raincoat, her yellow sun hat and some water. She climbed up on Phoenix’s back and the hunt began.
They had to get to the other side of the world to get to Calvin’s house. They saw a lot of things on the way, but they couldn’t stop because they were on an important mission.
To get into Calvin’s house, Snow had to talk to the two-headed dog who stood guard. This was tricky and she wished that she had brought some doggie treats. But in the end, a few nice words, some baby carrots calmed down the Great Knuckle Sandwich. Then Snow began to softly sing.
” Oh, Knuckle Sandwich, I love you
My cousin Calvin loves you too,
Oh Knuckle Sandwich, let me in
Please, please let us in. We are kin.
Suddenly, Knuckle Sandwich started licking Snow’s face and opened the door for her. She stopped to rub their ears and thanked them from the bottom of her heart.
By then Calvin came to the door to find out what was going on. “Quick,” said Snow. “We have to go on a hunt. I need you to help me!”
“OK,” said Calvin. “Let me get Knuckles’ and Sammy’s leashes. I know they want to come too.”
Soon they were on their way flying around the world on a Snow Hunt. “What are we looking for?” asked Calvin as he munched one of Snow’s snacks. ” We are looking for the tiniest person in the family. We are looking for GT.”
“Cool,” said Calvin, but he really didn’t know where to look.
Phoenix flew up higher, but it was too cold for them. GT was definitely not up there.
Then she flew low and they could see all the islands in the ocean. But they still couldn’t see GT.
Then just as they were giving up, they saw some chickens. Those chickens looked familiar. “Oh, I bet GT is playing with the chickens,” said Snow. “That makes sense,” said Calvin, ” because I love playing with the sisters at my house.”
Gladly, Phoenix landed in the yard with the chickens. She was quite tired from flying everyone around. Snow and Calvin jumped off and started searching the yard. “GT must be around here somewhere.”
Knuckle Sandwich started barking at the door of the house. “In here. Woof woof. In here.”
Quickly, Snow and Calvin ran inside. There in his bed GT was sleeping. But, he wasn’t GT anymore. Now he was a baby, his name was Enoch.
“Yeah,” shouted Calvin and Snow. “We love you cousin Enoch. Welcome to our world.”
